Our community has three pool areas, maintaining them all raises important questions. Currently, only one pool is open year-round, while the upstairs courtyard pool operates for just four months.
Streamlining the courtyard pool area could save money and significantly enhance the beauty of our environment.
The three swimming areas that are rarely used at the same time, but generate much more cost than for a single pool.
By converting the two additional pools into gardens, or maybe by installing a small and shallow childrens pool, we could make the most of the space and reduce costs.
The Proposal
The main proposal is to fill in two existing swimming pools, transforming the upstairs courtyard into a vibrant garden oasis to serve as a peaceful retreat for relaxation.
Additionally, eliminating the walkway bridge between pools would further simplify maintenance efforts and reduce future upkeep.
This change would allow us to focus on beautification rather than constant repairs and cleaning, ultimately creating a more enjoyable environment for everyone.
Actions Needed
A dedicated committee would be needed to study the costs of filling in the pools and transforming the space. This committee would gather price quotes and assess potential savings.
After collecting this information, the committee can draft a proposal for the wider community. A community vote is necessary.
Lastly, obtaining necessary permissions from the town hall for architectural changes is essential. .
Moving Forward Together
Streamlining the courtyard pool area offers a practical and promising solution. By converting two of our pools into a beautiful garden, we create a picturesque environment that fosters stronger community connections through shared outdoor experiences. Now is the time to come together and support a more sustainable and inviting communal area for everyone to enjoy.
The future of our courtyard pool area is bright. With thoughtful planning and community engagement, we can create a welcoming space that serves us all year round.
